HOME TEAM- Home team is higher ranked REGULAR SEASON TEAM

Home team does not switch jerseys if teams have same colors

Home team picks which end they want for overtime (On Sunny day, this could be a factor) If there is a shootout it will be in the same end mutually agreed on by teams and refs.

Teams will still be paying refs for all playoff games.

SCORECARDS-

Winning team must send someone to Melrose with scorecards (from BOTH TEAMS) within 30 minutes of games completion or FORFEIT- no exceptions!!!  Teams playing at Park City West have 60 minutes.  (give to Bobby Jay or person selling beer tickets)

Many teams are contacting us asking when they play on Saturday & Sunday...we will NOT release any game times till 6 PM Friday at Melrose at the draw sheets. The reasoning is if we have any cancellations on Friday we have to change some games. It would cause WAY too much confusion if we changes an already released schedule. PLEASE do not contact us about game times for Saturday and Sunday

.

We can tell you games run Saturday from 10:30 am- 9:30 pm and Sunday from 10:30 am- 9 pm.

All times are TENATIVE, as bad weather or equipment problems can delay games. PLEASE check draw sheet at Melrose after each of your games to make sure there are no changes. We will delay games as much as possible to try and get games in if bad weather occurs. Team were told to keep whole weekend open when they registered team in November

If teams are waiting for players who are playing on another team..we will NOT delay games and you must start at game time with what you got.

Be ready at game time. Ask ref doing on your rink how much time is ref in previous game so your team can be waiting at the gate when it ends so you can warn up goalie

Refs have been instructed to crack down on verbal abuse. 3 minute penalties and 10 minute and game misconducts will be handed out for verbal abuse.  Remember- refs are only human too

Playoff Overtime Format

All tie games must be broken

(except all round robin games in which ties remain a tie)

5-minute running time sudden death period (line changes only on the fly)

Home team picks which side they want for overtime (if sun is shining this could be a factor)

Teams play 4 on 4 on men’s and women’s and 2 & 2 for coed (penalties in regulation can carry over to overtime)

If still tied, a shootout will occur.

If a player is serving a penalty when overtime concludes going into a shooting…the player CAN shoot in a shootout, unless player have been ejected from the game for ANY reason

3- player shootout with whoever scores the most will win. (coed must alternate male- female-male). It must be 3 different shooters

If still tied, a sudden death shootout will occur. In the sudden death shootout teams will pick 3 shooters (coed must alternate male- female-male). Shooters in the first 3 shots may shoot again in sudden death shootout. If still tied, the same 3 will shoot in the SAME order until there is a winner.

Home team will pick if they want first or last shot in shootout
